Pressing the # key in the district's Voice Mail system can be used to complete an action. For example, if you want to leave a message for someone and you don't want to listen to their introductory message, simply press the (pound) key at any time during their message and it will take you directly to the tone so you can leave your message. Or, if you are listening to the Voice Mail person give instructions and you know what you want to do, press the key and it will skip the remarks and take you to the recording tone.

Pressing the # key also lets you skip message's you are listening to. The # key can save you time when using Voice Mail.
