Teachers can no longer earn District Credit for Technology Classes


According to the salary negations for certified staff in May 2001, the follow is true:


The District shall no longer pay a separate amount for educational units for new personnel joining the district and shall not pay unit compensation for any new units earned by existing staff, except by horizontal movement on the new salary schedule.


Existing employees shall be given stipends to reflect the dollar difference between the units compensation paid in 2000-2001 and the salary differential for units or degree applicable to them under the new salary schedule.


For purposes of calculating horizontal placement on the new salary schedule, credit shall only be awarded for units from an accredited college or university that advance a teacher toward a higher degree.


Teachers can earn Recertification Credit for Technology Classes
