Students need to be able to start the computer and access the Internet.

Students need to be able to type in a URL in order to get to a specific site.

Students will need to have prior experience with answering math facts.

Students will need to be able to type in a correct answer.

Materials

Computers with Internet access.

Procedures

    1. Students will need to start the computers and access the Internet.
    2. Tell students to click on the location box at the top of their screen.
    3. Have students type in the following URL: http://www.funbrain.com/
    4. Once at the FunBrain site, have students locate the box that says "KIDS."
    5. Underneath the heading "PLAY GAMES" have students click on Math Baseball.
    6. Scroll down and choose the appropriate math facts (addition, subtraction,

      7. multiplication, or division) by clicking in the circle next to your choice.

    7. Choose a level. Begin with the EASY level.
    8. Click on the gray rectangle that says "PLAY BALL."

9. Have students continue through an entire game. After finishing a game they

may play another or choose a different skill level.

Assessment

The teacher will observe students as they are playing the game.
