Academic: The students will listen and follow a series of directions to learn the basic parts of a computer.

Technological: Standard 1

The students do not have to have any prior technical knowledge.

Materials: Poster of the computer.

The students will look at the poster with a picture of the parts of the computer. They will listen as you talk about the mouse, the screen, the icons, the keyboard and they will find the parts as you talk about them. Have them use the scroll bar. Practice moving it up and down. Practice mouse control by finding the different icons and clicking on them.

Assessment: They will answer questions aloud and show that they are following along by the pictures on their screens.
