Creating a File
Academic Objective:
Students will use files and documents, labeled with graphic organizers to be used for the student’s research paper.
Technological Objective:
Students will be able to create a file and documents to hold information that they can add to, correct and print.
Pre-requisite Technology Skills/ Academic Preparation
Students will have basic computer skills and be able to follow directions given on the screen.
Student’s will have learned and discussed the Power Writing Headlines ("Main Idea"; "To begin with"; "Second"; Third";
" In conclusion")
Materials:
Computer lab in good condition; specific web sites for each student, printed and edited
Accommodation for Special Needs:
All my students have a handicapping condition, primarily attention deficits. We always work in small groups or with assist
Procedure:
Students will be directed to click on programs then go to "Word". They will then click on file, name their file then open the file and proceed to name the documents needed (Power Writing Headings).
Assessment;
Completed research paper by each student, achieved May 16, 2000. Attached find some examples. All 22 students having a handicapping condition that inhibits their learning in the regular classroom .
