Track Star – American Revolution

Objectives:

Academic: Students will learn about different aspects of the American

Revolution by reading through web sites to find answers to

various comprehension questions. W-E3

Technological: Students will use the Internet to find answers to

questions and analyze their answers afterwards.

Pre-Requisite Technology Skills: Students need to be able to access a web site and

use a mouse correctly.

Materials: Computer with Internet access, paper for answers, and the address scrtec.org (track star) Keyword: Amanda Thurein

Procedures: 1. Have students get with a partner. Explain that they will be looking up some information on the Internet about the American Revolution and answering comprehension questions.

2. Tell students to go to the track star web site and put in the keyword. Once everyone is there, tell him or her they will be answering the questions by searching through the various web sites.

3.Get feedback from students on what answers they got.

Assessment: Look over handouts to see if activity was successful.
