Objectives:

Academic-

  1. The students will work cooperatively to complete the worksheet on Abraham Lincoln.
  2. Students will have some knowledge about Abraham Lincoln.
  3. Students will demonstrate the use of the keyboard.

Technological-

    1. The students will use basic keyboard/mouse skills to move around in the Internet to locate and record various informations.
    2. Identify specific information outlines from the Internet (Tech. Standard 1).

Pre-Requisite Technology Skills:

    1. Use of basic technology (mouse, double click, printer)
    2. Students need to be familiar with the keyboard, mouse, and control keys.
    3. Starting and exiting the program
    4. Typing in the URL and searching

Materials:

    1. Computers with Internet access
    2. URL
    3. http:www.yahooligans.com
    4. Abraham Lincoln worksheets and pencils

Procedures:

1. Review procedures on how to access the Internet with specific

URL address.

2. The students will type the given URL address.

    1. The students will work with a partner on the Internet and complete the worksheet.
    2. Students will hand in completed assignment.

Assessment:

1. Were the students able to access and move around in the Internet

successfully?

    1. Were the students able to complete the assignment on Abraham
    2. Lincoln?

    3. Teacher will monitor to check if students are working cooperatively.

Plan B:

If the Internet is unable to be access, the students will go to Kidpix or

The Children’s Writing Workshop.
