Objectives:
Academic-
The students will work cooperatively to complete the worksheet on Abraham Lincoln.
Students will have some knowledge about Abraham Lincoln.
Students will demonstrate the use of the keyboard.
Technological-
- The students will use basic keyboard/mouse skills to move around in the Internet to locate and record various informations.
- Identify specific information outlines from the Internet (Tech. Standard 1).
Pre-Requisite Technology Skills:
- Use of basic technology (mouse, double click, printer)
- Students need to be familiar with the keyboard, mouse, and control keys.
- Starting and exiting the program
- Typing in the URL and searching
Materials:
- Computers with Internet access
- URL
- http:www.yahooligans.com
- Abraham Lincoln worksheets and pencils
Procedures:
1. Review procedures on how to access the Internet with specific
URL address.
2. The students will type the given URL address.
- The students will work with a partner on the Internet and complete the worksheet.
- Students will hand in completed assignment.
Assessment:
1. Were the students able to access and move around in the Internet
successfully?
- Were the students able to complete the assignment on Abraham
Lincoln?
- Teacher will monitor to check if students are working cooperatively.
Plan B:
If the Internet is unable to be access, the students will go to Kidpix or
The Children’s Writing Workshop.
